A sports commentator has expressed concern with the controversy involving outgoing Zambia national team coach Sven Vanderbroack.

Speaking in interview with The Sun, soccer analyst, Thandika Chirwa, says the issues raised by the outgoing national team coach, Sven Vanderbroack, regarding his poor working relationship with FAZ has somethings to do with the calibre of its administration.

Thandika observed that the issues raised by the Belgian coach are things an employer would not want to hear an employee say about them.

He said that despite having only having heard one side of the story, such issues, once they surface, set a bad precedence for the Andrew Kamanga-led FAZ and that prospective expatriate coaches may have reservations about working for Zambia based on what they could have heard.

”Those problems hinge on the management at FAZ. The question is, why didn’t the general secretary and his team pay attention to the issues raised and attend to them?” queried Thandika.

He said, “FAZ should learn to treat expatriate coaches as such.”

Thandika urged FAZ to draw lessons from the Sven Vanderbroak saga and take remedial measures to avoid the situation repeating itself.

Outgoing Zambia coach Sven Vanderbroack has caused a media stir with his statement that the association was insincere about his contract an accusation FAZ has rebuffed.

Sven who only presided over 5 games by Zambia, has since been sent on administrative leave and will miss Zambia’s last formality AFCON qualifier against Namibia later this month.
