Mr Mususa said that the child’s body was discovered yesterday at Ngwenyawith a swollen face.
And Footprints Children in Zambia director Sevelino Vasco said that it is not known whether the boy was murdered and dumped in the dam or he fell in it.
He said that his non-governmental organization has been re-integrating children living in the streets with their families.
Mr Vasco said that his organisation has in the past helped the father of the dead boy, Mr Mususa, who is a former street kid.
He described the incident as unfortunate and called on the police to investigate the cause of death.
Government has started picking street kids and putting them in orphanages as a way of preventing them from contracting the deadly Coronavirus.
