Nkhoma grieves over loss

FC MUZA coach Dabwitso Nkhoma has described his team’s fourth defeat in the Zambian super league as painful.

The Mazabuka based outfit lost 2-1 to Circuit City on Sunday in a week 6 MTN/FAZ Super league fixture played at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka on Sunday.

Two quick second half goals from Biston Banda and Paul Mwiya gave Circuit City bragging rights over FC MUZA in the battle of new entrants.

FC MUZA who started the game on a high note and managed to keep Circuit City at bay in the first half, failed to hold determined Circuit city as poor defensive positioning by the defenders gifted Circuit city two scoring opportunities.

Under 23 call up, Biston Banda gave the home team a lead in the 59th minute.

Paul Mwiya added his name on the score sheet and the second of game in the 63rd minutes, when he was found at the end of frontal attack to put the game beyond FC MUZA’s reach.

In a bid to restore parity in the team, Nkhoma brought in Robby Phiri for injured Yanganile Tembo and Emmanuel Manda for Chipo Sondashi while Mandra Muleya was brought in for Baba Basile respectively.

However, Nkhoma’s changes had no impact the final result as the team lost the game although Muleya scored a consolation goal in addition time to end the 2-1 in favour of Circuit City.

FC MUZA remains rooted on the bottom of MTN/FAZ Super league Stream B with one point after playing five games.

The Dabwitso Nkhoma drilled side has so far recorded four losses, drawing one and are yet to win a game.

The next fixture for MUZA will be at Nakambala stadium against Lumwana Radiants this coming Saturday.
