FAZ AGM SET FOR APRIL 13

THE Football Association of Zambia has set April 13 as the date for its annual general meeting (AGM) that will be preceded by provincial assemblies to elect delegates to attend the conference.

In a statement made available to the Sun sport,

FAZ General Secretary Adrian Kashala said the provincial elections will be held from February 8 to March 4.

He said that the schedule for provincial assemblies has been lined up as follows:

February 8, for Luapula Province, February 9 for Northern Province, February 10 for Muchinga Province, February 19-20 for North-Western Province and February 21-22  for Eastern Province.

Southern Province will have hers on February 24-25 , Western Province 25-26, Central Province February 27 , February 28 to March 1 for Copperbelt Province and March 4 for Lusaka Province.

Meanwhile Kashala said that FAZ shall receive the following funds from FIFA, US$1 million for operational and football development expenditure and US$2 million for infrastructure development.

“This infrastructure development which will be done in consultation with the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Child Development, FAZ shall target upgrading stadia in Chipata, Kasama, Solwezi and Mansa,” he said.

He further said that the Association would also introduce provincial cups that will be open to all members of FAZ in provinces.
