The UPND in Northern Province has added its voice in condemning the attack on Kasama District Administrative Officer Beauty Namukoko by suspected cadres.
Speaking at a media briefing in Kasama, UPND Provincial Chairperson Victor Sinkala, who described the incidence as barbaric, said the behavior must be condemned in the strongest terms.
Mr Sinkala however refuted reports suggesting that youths behind the attack in a video that has gone viral on social media, are members of the UPND.
He has since appealed to law enforcement agencies to quickly investigate the matter and bring the culprits to book.
And UPND Provincial Youth Chairperson Paul Mulenga said young people from the ruling party have heeded to the call against caderism and were not involved in the attack of Ms. Namukoko.
