MAN RACES FROM CHIPATA TO LUSAKA TO HONOUR KK

Man races from
Chipata to Lusaka
to honour KK

A man from Muchini compound in Chipata district of Eastern Province, who started his race from Chipata in memory of the late president Kenneth Kaunda has arrived in Chongwe district.


Katatala Banda commenced his race on June 26, 2021 from Chipata and is set to arrive in Lusaka on July, 6 2021.
Banda was motivated to take the race to honour Dr Kaunda’s efforts in the liberation of Zambia from colonial rule.


Mr Banda told Journalists in Chongwe that people should remember the legacy left by the late president by upholding love and unity, the values he stood for.


He called for all Zambians to resist any form of violence and maintain the peace which the country has been enjoying since independence.


He also implored political leaders to emulate Dr. Kaunda by avoiding using youths as tools of violence but instead instill values of respect and unity in them.
