Zesco United sign Mususu

MICHAEL MIYOBA writes

NDOLA giants Zesco United have strengthened their squad with the inclusion of former TS Galaxy Football Club striker, Chitiya Mususu.

Zesco United Football Club, Technical Chairman, Peter Mutale confirmed that Mususu who featured for Napsa Stars and Zanaco before trekking to TS Galaxy has signed a two-year contract agreement with the eight times Super Division champions subject to completing medicals.

Mutale is hopeful that the former Zanaco goal poacher who was a regular national team player before moving to TS Galaxy will add a lot of value to ‘Team Yaziko’ and help them continue their winning streak in the MTN/FAZ Super Division.

“We are excited to secure the services of Mususu. He has signed a two-year agreement with us after agreeing personal terms.”

“Mususu has the qualities of a striker that can score goals for our team. He had an impressive run at Zanaco and knows our league very well. His partnership with Kalengo, Makwata, Sakala and Were will surely deliver quality upfront. Our aim is to sign quality players because it’s only quality that will bring success to the club,” Mutale said.

Meanwhile, Mususu said he will use his new challenge at Zesco United to prove his critics wrong by scoring goals for the Ndola based league giants.

“This is an exciting move for me because Zesco United is a big football club with a big fan base. I played in the local league with Zanaco, another big team in the league. I am very excited about this challenge,” Mususu said

“I have been following the local league and know a lot about Zesco United. I can’t wait to team up with their strikers and contribute to the development of the club by scoring goals and winning trophies.”

The 26-year old striker joins Zesco United at a time when the former league champions are enjoying fine form both in the local league and Absa competition.

Mususu also reunites with former Zanaco midfielder Tafadwa Rusike and Numba Mumamba his former coach at Zanaco FC
