Ministry driver denies obtaining money by false pretenses

A DRIVER with the Ministry of Education charged with two counts of obtaining money by false pretenses has appeared in the KasamaMagistrates’ Court and pleaded not guilty.

Nicholas Chisulo, 34, of Mulenga Hills, is alleged to have got K2,950 from Jacob Kapinga and K2, 950 from Elidah Bwalya on unknown dates, but between June 19 and July 6 on the pretext that he is going to employ them in the ministry when in fact not.

Resident Magistrate Samson Mumba adjourned the matter to August 20, 2020, for trial.

The court granted Chileshe K300 cash bail with two working sureties in the like sum.
