THE National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) on Saturday celebrated the World Olympics Day in two cities for the first time in its history.
Kabwe (Central Province) and Kitwe (Copperbelt Province) welcomed hundreds of people to take part in the commemoration events at the same time.
The activities included games such as aerobics, Olympic Day Run and Walk, Hockey Basic Intro, judo display, cultural dances, poems, basketball game and blood donation conducted by the Zambia Red Cross Society among other others.
The venues for the two events were Kwame Nkrumah University (Kabwe) and Kitwe Playing Fields (Kitwe).
Saturday activities concluded the planned Olympic week and day activities for 2019 by the National Olympic Committee of Zambia.
