Kabwata drainage project takes off

CONSTRUCTION works for new drainages in Lusaka’s Kabwata constituency under the L400 Phase Two project have started, says area ward six councillor Longa Chiboboka.


Mr Chiboboka said that Avic International and other sub constructors were on the ground and he was hopeful that the woks would be completed before the on-set of the rains.


He said that it construction of drainages had been the cry of the residents and that the project had finally come.


Mr Dominic Mwape, a resident of Kabwata said that it was long over-due, as the residents had waited for a long time for the project.
Other residents talked to, also said that water was all over their yards and hoped the project would cover all the parts of Kabwata.


They said that it has been a challenge especially during rainy seasons because the roads and surroundings usually got flooded due to lack of drainages.
