Pool game to lessen crime in Mtendere

MTENDERE residents are optimistic that Chris Mall Youth Pool tournament underway in the area will help prevent them from engaging in bad vices.

Currently Mtendere area in Munali constituency is engulfed with criminal gangs calling themselves “Fluffies’’ which is terrorizing residents at will.

Some residents have blamed the high crime levels in the area to youths have nothing to keep them busy.

However this prompted local businessman Chrispin Chiinda to sponsor a pool tournament to keep youths busy.

And the residents told the Sun Sports that the tournament would help youths to stay away from social evils like alcohol and drug abuse.

And Chiinda popularly known as Chriss Mall said that he would continue engaging young people in skills development. 

Speaking when we went to check on how the pool tournament was progressing, Chiinda advised young people to keep away from the bad vices.
