A LUSAKA business man has sued his wife for reconciliation claiming she always made him beg to have sex with her and even charged him for it.
Christopher Ngandwe, 31, of Mtendere Compound told Chelstone senior local court magistrate Charity Milambo that his wife, Idah Banda, 31, of the same area, charged him K70 to have sex with her and that she sometimes reduced the amount to K50 when negotiations.
Mr Ngandwe said his wife always packed her clothes and went to live with her family every time they quarrelled instead of sorting out issues between themselves.
“She calls me a thief to try and make people beat me up whenever I try and follow her at her parents’ house,” he said.
Mr Ngandwe said, “As I speak I am not in good terms with her family because they accuse me of beating her.”
In defence, Ms Banda said she did not want to be reconciled with her husband because he did not respect her and brought other women to the house whenever she not home.
“This man is always found with bad company. He beats me a lot and at one time even beat up my mother,” She said.
But Mr Ngandwe in his submission to court insisted on reconciling with the wife but she refused.
Court ruled it could not reconcile the two because the two were not married in the first place because no dowry was paid for their union.
The court observed that the two could not also be forced to live together if one of them was not willing.
