An eye witness told The Sun that the man was caught around 05.00hrs by a marketeer who saw him climb out of the wall fence with the decoder hidden in his shirt.

The marketeer narrated that the thief tried to run away after she should but that the residents, in numbers,

chased and caught him, severly beat him and then took him to the police.

“I shouted when I saw a man climbing down the wall fence with a decoder in hidden in his shirt. I shouted thief and the people chased him,” she said.

John Tembo, the owner of the house, explained that the thief broke into his house while he was sleeping and stole the decoder.

He has since pressed charges against the thief at Kanyama Police.
