Prof Ngoma calls for cease fire between Gov’t, Catholic Church

 A POLITICAL analyst Prof Edgar Ngoma has advised the UPND government and the Catholic Church to reconcile because their public altercations and verbal attacks is only polarizing the country.

Prof Ngoma has also urged the UPND party functionaries which include Mark Simuwe, the UPND official consultant to use their expertise to work toward bring to the table the governing party and the Catholic Church so the two could resolve their differences.

Prof Ngoma is advising the UPND and the Catholic Church to endeavor to resolve their perceived differences amicably.

“Whether we like it or not, this conflict between new dawn government and Roman Catholic Priests must be resolved or managed well. I urge Mark Simuwe who is an official political consultant to the UPND political party and the New Dawn Government to use his expertise to bring to the table the two warring parties. We are ready to assist as United Nations International Peace and Governance Council (UNIPGC) in this case once invited to amicably resolve and manage this conflict,” Prof Ngoma said.

He stated that the altercation currently going on between The Catholic Priests and new dawn government at its top leadership, including President Hakainde Hichilema and UPND secretary general Batuke Imenda was not health for the country’s unity.
