ZNBC casts doubts on staffer’s nude pictures

By NATION REPORTER

The Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation ZNBC has cast doubts on the nudity pictures of its staff member Patricia Mapiki.

According to a statement by ZNBC head of Corporate Affairs Annie Mukabe the corporation had noted that some of the pictures could generally be considered disturbing and offensive emphasizing that it could not rule out manipulation of some of the images being circulated.

“As a public institution ZNBC upholds its core values of integrity, accountability, respect and honesty among other values, and would ensure these were observed by all employees,” the statement read.

The statement also said the responsibility placed on the public broadcaster was immense as it not only promoted unity through its programming but enhances Zambia’s national culture through the promotion of good morals.

ZNBC indicated that management uses its internal processes to deal with erring staff who abrogate corporation regulations.
