THE Leadership Movement (LM) says it is not too late for Zambia to cut an oil deal with Russia to enable it benefit from lower fuel prices.
LM leader Richard Silumbe said there were always solutions to issues that relate to fuel and Government should strategise on how it can have oil deals with favourable destination countries which will make prices of fuel reasonable.
And Mr Silumbe said Zambia needed to maximise the potential it has to invest in other areas of power such as nuclear power plants through the uranium that is available in the country.
Mr Silumbe said the solutions to the country’s power and energy challenges brought about by international factors needed the government to strategise so that the challenges do not frustrate hardworking ordinary Zambians.
