THE Energy Regulation Board (ERB) says it can only go back to the review of fuel prices on six months basis once the global oil market stabalises.
ERB Board Chairperson Reynolds Bowa said the current global oil market is too fragile for the country to go back to the review of prices on a three or six months’ basis.
Mr Bowa said it was important for stakeholders in the private sector who had been calling for a change to adapt to the new normal.
He said continued review of prices on monthly basis is for the benefit of the country especially that it doesn’t worsen the debt stock which it is grappling with.
