The enumerators and Supervisors who participated in his year’s census of housing and population staged a protest yesterday over the delayed payment.
They have demanded that Zambia Statistics Agency should settle their dues by next week.
Daniel Mweene, a representative of the group, says it is unfair that the agency is failing to settle their dues after they rendered a service to the nation.
Mr Mweene says government did promise to settle their dues but nothing has been done.
He explains that some enumerators and supervisors have not received any amount of money from the beginning of the contract.
He says contrary to assertions that government paid part of the money after signing the contract, people have not been paid.
