PEOPLE who are scared of my candidature are the ones spreading propaganda that I want to back out of the race, Patriotic Front (PF) Presidential hopeful, Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba, has said.
Mr Mwamba said yesterday at no time did he engage any media house on the matter.
He said people know that he is popular and he will take over the party presidency that is why they are spreading lies.
Mr Mwamba popularly known as GBM, said he will not be swayed by such propaganda.
Mr Mwamba, who is PF national mobilisation chairperson, said Zambians need to ignore such propaganda because they are falsehoods and unfounded.
“I have seen this kind of propaganda which is surprising because I have not talked to any media house.
People who are behind this are scared of my candidature but we shall not engage in this small issue.
“I am still interested in the party presidency unlike the falsehoods being spread,” he said.
Mr Mwamba said he will ensure that he is on the PF ballot paper and win the party’s highest position.
