PUPILS URGED TO PREPARE EXAMS ADEQUATELY

Kabwe Acting District Commissioner, Peter Ndala, has urged school going children, especially those in examination classes to prepare adequately for their exams.

Dr Ndala also appealed to the parents to ensure that they monitor the activities of their children by lessening their house chores workload so that they have ample time to study.

He told ZANIS in an interview that the school-going children will only be able to approach the examinations with confidence when they are given adequate time to study.

“Children should equally show responsibility by investing adequate time in their studies, understanding the concepts availed to them by the teachers and applying them, accordingly”, he said.

The acting DC has further appealed to the teachers, lecturers and other trainers to spend adequate time with pupils and students that are very slow in learning.

“It is a worthwhile investment for academicians to spend time in creating understanding with students so that they understand the topics fully,” Dr Ndala said.

Dr Ndala has also emphasized that the creation of the Ministry of Science and Technology is a clear indication by the government that it would like the country to excel in that area.

He has therefore called on the girl children to compete favourably with their male counterparts considering that government has put in effort to encourage innovation.

Meanwhile, District Education Boards Secretary (DEBS) for Kabwe, Zikani Kaira, has disclosed that the examinations for grade sevens will commence on November 15th, while grade nines will start on November 29th and grades twelve  on November, 10th, 2021.

“All is set for examinations in Kabwe district and the department of education is doing its best in ensuring that the pupils are academically prepared,” said Dr Kaira.

He has since appealed to the pupils in exam classes to focus on their studies so that they can pass their exams and excel accordingly.

He also expressed confidence that Kabwe District will produce better results at not only provincial level but national level, as well.
