Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister CHIPOKA MULENGA says government is considering possibilities of financing quasi government entities with the support of the private  sector.

Mr Chipoka says the government will engage  the private sector to help  fund or support  government entities  that have challenges with adequate financing.

He says Government is aware about numerous financial constrains affecting quasi government institutions.

Mr. MULENGA was speaking during a familiarization tour of the Zambia Metrology Agency -ZMA- in Lusaka.

The Minister also called for training of more officers at the agency to enhance its efficiency.

And ZMA Executive Director HIMBA CHELO said the agency needs more funding for it to be more efficient in its operations.

Mrs. CHEELO also noted the need to decentralize the agency’s structure to increase revenue collection.
