A resident of Mambwe District to cycle to Lusaka to attend HH’s inauguration.

A cyclist from Mambwe district has started off from Chipata on his bicycle in order to attend the inauguration of the President-elect Hakainde Hichilema slated for Tuesday August 24 next week.

Patrick Mphande,47, of Mpanda village in chief Jumbe’s area,started off from Mambwe yesterday on his bicycle at 04:30 hours and arrived at 09:00 hours in Chipata in readiness for his journey to Lusaka.

In an interview before he embarked on his journey for Lusaka, Mphande said he came up with the initiative in order to pay his respects to the President-elect Hakainde Hichilema for winning the just ended August 12 general elections.

He said he would take three days to ride his bicycle from Chipata to Lusaka to make it the inauguration ceremony of the UPND leader.
