KITWE giants Power Dynamos have confirmed media reports that head coach Perry Mutapa has been placed on administrative leave.
In a statement released on Monday night, Power Dynamos also confirmed that assistant coach Masautso Tembo will take over from Mutapa. “Power Dynamos Football Club would like to inform the football fraternity that it has placed Head Coach Perry Mutapa on administrative leave until further notice.
“The Assistant Coach, Masautso Tembo has been appointed to act as Head Coach,” read the statement. Nkana ended their 10-match winless run by beating Power 2-0 on Sunday at Arthur Davies Stadium.
According to a statement issued by the club’s media department, assistant coach and Mutapa’s close friend Tembo will act as caretaker coach. Mutapa and Tembo had worked together at two clubs before moving to Power. Tembo will be assisted by George Chilufya.
