MAN IN COURT COVER SAUSAGES AND CHICKENS

A 25-YEARS-OLD Bricklayer has been dragged to the Choma Magistrates Court on accusations of breaking into a House and stealing 2 packets of Sausage and Chickens.

Jackson Nkole a resident of Monze district appeared before Court charged with two counts of Burglary and Theft and One count of Trafficking in Psychotropic Substances contrary to the Laws of Zambia.

Allegations in count one are that Nkole on the night of April 18 and 19 in Choma, broke into the house of Charles Mulemwa and stole 2 Chickens, 2 Packets of Sausages, 1 Television Set, 1 Home Theatre, 4 Cables and 1 Power Bank all valued at K 2, 736 the property of the mentioned Mulemwa.

In count two, Nkole is accused of burglarising Florence Phiri’s house on the night of April 25 ⁴and getting away with 1 Home Theatre, Biscuits, Assorted Groceries and a Duvet all valued at K4, 545. And in the last count, Nkole is alleged to have trafficked in 5.3 grams of Marijuana, a herbal product of Cannabis Sativa without legal authority or medical recommendation.

When he appeared for plea before Senior Resident Magistrate Peter Mungala, Nkole denied all the charges leading the Court to enter pleas of not guilty respectively. The matter was adjourned to May 24 for trial and Nkole was remanded in custody.
