KAINGU BACKS ECL, IRIS

I will vigorously campaign for President Lungu, the Patriotic Front and  my daughter because of the honour which the  head of State has accorded me and my family, former Minister of Higher Education Prof Michael Kaingu has said.

Prof Kaingu who announced his comeback into active politics in Choma  during a ceremony he organised to thank President Edgar Lungu for seeing something good in his daughter, Iris Kaingu, when everyone else only saw wrong in her, said the President does not only preach Christianity but also practices it.

The colourful ceremony was graced by Prof Kaingu, Chief Cooma, Chief Mooze, Chief Choongo among other Chiefs and Senior Headmen and other high ranking officials from both public and private sectors.

“I shall vigorously campaign for his Excellency President Edgar Lungu, PF and my daughter with vigor.  Allow me to show profound gratitude to the President for this action of unmatched leadership based on Zambia as a Christian nation, indeed your action shows that you know us all and you give us equal opportunities at our given time,” he said

Prof  Kaingu   thanked President Lungu for the honour bestowed on his family by adopting his daughter as the PF parliamentary candidate for Mwandi Constituency, and   vowed to go flat out to campaign for the Patriotic Front countrywide and turn every vote green.

“President Lungu has rekindled my Honey Badger characteristics in politics and I am coming out of political retirement. I am willing to join those who mean well for President Lungu to turn every vote green,”  he said

And PF Mwandi Constituency candidate Iris Kaingu expressed her appreciation to President Lungu and the PF for vesting their confidence in her and made assurances that she will not leave any vote unturned.

Ms Kaingu said, going by the PF manifesto, once voted to represent Mwandi, the party will formulate and implement a constituency recovery and reconstruction development plan which will be centered on improving access to quality education and health care, access to clean and safe drinking water, improving agricultural productivity and food security among other developmental plans.
