NOEL IYOMBWA writes

THE University of Zambia (UNZA) residence hostels earlier designated as quarantine areas by government through the Ministry of Health (MOH) have now become a safe space for use after relocation of truck drivers to another place.

Acting Head- Communication and Marketing Brenda Bukowa said that the hostels at the Great East Road campus have been disinfected and safe to use as of Friday, 30th May 2020.

“The University Management is thankful to the Ministry of Health and other co-operating partners for the support rendered during the time the institutional infrastructure was in use as a quarantine centre,”Dr Bokwasaid.

“Further gratitude also goes to the university community for abiding by the guidelines stipulated by the authorities.”

UNZA was one of the selected quarantine centres in Lusaka.
