FAZ president, Andrew Kamanga, was on Thursday afternoon guest-of-honour at the Bauleni Community Football Festival and watched all the games across the three venues.

The 2019 edition of the Bauleni Community Football Festival had drawn participation from over 110 boys and girls football teams.

The teams competed in the under six age bracket to under-17, and comprised education-related prizes.

According to the FAZ media office, Kamanga pitched at the games alongside Technical Director, Lyson Zulu.

The FAZ president expressed desire to refine the Bauleni Football Festival in line with his youth football structure.

Kamanga interacted with some of the children at the event and football officials participating in the tournament.

Teams were spread across three venues, namely Prince Takamado school ground, St Mathews Catholic Church grounds and the Cardinal Adam Memorial pitch.

Kamanga also handed over sets of jerseys and footballs to the tournament organisers, the members of Bauleni United Football Club.

The FAZ entourage also toured the Zambian Breweries- refurbished community stadium.

FAZ Technical Director Lyson Zulu has been reaching out to youth structures across the country and hoped the Bauleni model would be replicated across the country.
