“According to a report that we received the young man is believed to have committed suicide after he requested for his father’s car keys from his mother but she refused to give him because he did not have a driver’s license.

“He drunk doom from his bedroom and went to his friend’s place only identified as John. When he got there, John’s grandmother noticed some strange signs, that of white foam that was coming out of Mwelwa’s month,” he said.

Mr Hamoonga said John’s grandmother hurriedly called Mwelwa’s mother who quickly came over and found people pouring water on him. She rushed him to Matero Level One Hospital for help.

Mwelwa was there and then put in an ambulance to be taken to the UTH but he died before reaching the hospital.
