ZAMBIAN Breweries Plc is committed to promoting value chains by engaging entrepreneurs, says company’s country director, Jose Moran.
Mr Moran said his company would continue to provide an opportunity for entrepreneurs to join the company’s value chain processes.
He encouraged entrepreneurs willing to join the value chain to extend the company’s message of responsible and smart drinking.
Mr Moran was speaking recently in Lusaka during a gathering organised by Start-up Hour Junction on understanding what it took to get into the beverage industry.
“The most important thing about brewing beer is consistency. Partnering with an established brewer like Zambian Breweries is very doable,
“You can open a pub or venture into the hospitality industry and you can get volumes from us that are consistent enough, and you can attain sizes that are decent enough for an entrepreneur to pursue,” he said.
At the same function, organiser and Startup Honour Junction manager, Mwape Chisaka said the five-year-old programme was an important platform that connected start-ups, young professionals and entrepreneurs to interact, network and form viable partnerships.
“We decided to invite Mr Moran to our event because we have noticed that he has been able to give Zambian Breweries its social currency such that the general public are able to interact with the company on a personal level and this has contributed to the company’s success,” Mr. Chisaka said.
