Solwezi toddler murdered – found naked with faeces on her anus as police detain 9-year-old suspect

A NINE-YEAR old juvenile of Solwezi has been detained by police after she was seen carrying a body of a suspected three year old murder victim.

Commissioner of police Hudson Namachila confirmed that the murder occurred on June 24 around 15:00 hours on Nzenzekenu Farm Road after Kawama area forest.

Mr Namachila said the report of a body being found in a disturbing scene was made by Chitungu Suba aged 50 of Kijingejinge compound.

“We had a report of an unknown female juvenile who was found lying dead along the Nzenzekenu Farm Road. The police visited the scene and the deceased’s body was found lying with soil stuffed in the mouth, nostrils and eyes.

“She was half naked with faeces on her anus. The officers were later able to identify the home of the deceased after the juvenile suspect   was seen carrying the body,” the commissioner added.

Mr Namachila said the officers then took the juvenile into their custody and identified the deceased as Abigail Waseka of the same address.

He said the body has since been deposited at Solwezi General Hospital mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
