Turkey seeks FAZ MoU

MUKWIMA CHILALA writes

THE Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has requested for a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) that will see the two organisations collaborate on various programmes to improve the sport of football.

According to the Zambian mission in Ankara TFF General Secretary Kadir Kardas has written to the ambassador requesting collaboration with FAZ.

FAZ president Andrew Kamanga has been hunting for technical support across the globe with his recent stop in Croatia and Serbia attracting support toward youth coaches and infrastructural development.

According to FAZfootball.com, Kamanga said the Turkish collaboration is going to be anchored on referees, coaching and administrative support

Kardas said in a letter dated April 1, 2019 addressed to Zambia’s ambassador to Turkey Joseph Chilengi, said TFF believed that football was a great tool for developing relations between countries.

“It would be a pleasure for us to discuss the possibility of a memorandum of understanding with the Football Association of Zambia,” Kardas is quoted by the Embassy publication Weekly Dispatch.

And Chilengi said Zambia appreciated the remarkable progress that TFF had made in the development of football which had placed the Turkish Super League among the best not only in the Union for European Football Associations but also FIFA.
