Assembly dream super league

FAZ Division 1 zone 2 side National Assembly FC has pledged to work extra hard in the second round of the season to win promotion to the super league.
Speaking in an interview with the Sun Sport, Assembly head coach Boyd Musole said his team had so far done very well and played according to its plan in the first round of the league.
Musole said his aim was to win the championship in its zone and win promotion back into the Super league.
Assembly beat Romeki FC 2-1 on Sunday to maintain their top position in division 1 Zone 2.
Coach Boyd Musole described his team’s win against Romeki a great result that would enhance their chances of winning the championship going into the reverse fixtures of the league.
“As a team we have played so well in the first round, leading the table from the first game, getting the three points is good for us as it makes us finish the first round on first position,”
“Our aim is to continue playing well and getting maximum points so that we top the log in our zone at the end of the season,” he said.
Assembly finished the first round of the transitional season in division zone 1 on top of the log thereby making it qualify to the ABSA Cup playoffs.
Meanwhile the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) confirmed said that preparations for the ABSA Cup were underway.
FAZ spokesperson Mwazi Sakala Chanda said that the association had already started preparing for the 2019 edition of the top 8 competition which had been planned for June.
“Yes preparations for the the ABSA Cup have started with the expectation that it will be played in June,” she said.
