ZICTA, World Vision donate learning kit

GLORIA KANGWA writes

ZAMBIA Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA), in conjunction with World Vision Zambia (WVZ), has donated learning equipment to Katuyola School in Mwinilunga district in North-Western Province.

Speaking in an interview, acting District Commissioner (DC) Mwiya Thulani thanked the two organisations for their good gesture which he said will be remembered for a long time to come.

He said his district has indeed not been left behind in development as set out in the country’s Vision 2030.

“Many thanks to ZICTA and World Vision for coming to the aid of the school with 80 computers, furniture and 4 printers,” said the acting DC.

He urged other stakeholders to also contribute to the school program to ensure that every child is educated because it will not only benefit government but the country as a whole.

“Achieving Vision 2030 is not only for government but it is set out to each and every one of us to contribute to educating our future leaders”, he said.

Mr Thulani appealed to the school staff to ensure that the donated equipment is kept safe and put to good use so that its life span is extended.
