CENTRAL Province Commissioner of Police Chola Katanga was on Saturday elected new Zambia Rugby Union general secretary.

Katanga polled 22 votes against his closest rival Philemon Tembo, who got 12 votes during the elective Zambia Rugby Union Congress held at Ndola’s wanders Club.

The president is General Clement Sinkamba from Zambia Air Force (ZAF) who General through unopposed.

The new committee will run up until 2023 when the union holds its elective annual general meeting.
