Space Pub and Grill of Chingola proprietor Andy Mpundu has offered to buy brand new Nike boots for any Nchanga Rangers FC strikers that will score in two home matches.

is an effort to motivate players to work hard to get back into the premier league.

Mpundu said he came up with the idea because he wanted to be part of the team on its journey to the elite league.

This is contained in statement made available to the Sun Sports in Lusaka by the club’s official Face book page.

And striker Jackson Sunzu has won the first pair of the Nike boots for scoring the lone goal against Zesco Solwezi FC in the Division 1 2019 soccer season.

Another striker Raphael Mala was also awarded another pair of boots for assisting Sunzu to score the header to give Nchanga their first win of the season.

The team beat Solwezi in a game played at Nchanga Stadium in Chingola on Sunday in a week 2 fixture. In presenting the boots, Mpundu told the players that there was more to come if they continued to produce good results.

He said initially he had wanted to only give the scorer a boot, but after a second thought he chose to also award the player who rendered assistance and proved to be the most ‘threatening’ player of the match.

To Mala who got the boot for assisting his teammate to score, Mpundu advised him to keep dropping the dangerous balls in the box.

He said with his play, the team would do wonders and win promotion to the premier league.

Meanwhile, Mpundu told Nchanga executive committee that team work, plus motivation like giving away match winners boots would result in success.

And Nchanga chairperson Yoram Kapai said the boot incentive would motivate the players to make outstanding individual performance which in turn would benefit the team.

Kapai implored more business houses and individuals to come on board and work with Nchanga Rangers to guide the team to elite league.

Nchanga has a mammoth task of getting back into the premier league having being demoted to Division 1 last season.
