Lubambo Musonda joins Polish side

ZAMBIA national soccer team winger Lubambo Musonda has left Armenia side FC Gandzarsar Kapan to join Polish side Wks Śląsk Wroclaw SA. The former under-20 star made the announcement on his Facebook page on Saturday evening.

“I am so happy to announce that I have joined Polish outfit WKS ŚLĄSK WROCLAW SA which competes in the Polish Lotto Ekstraklasa on a One (1) and half-year-deal,” he wrote.

The 23-year-old expressed gratitude for support he has received since bursting on the Zambian soccer scene in 2012 with National Assembly before joining Power Dynamos in 2013 for whom he played until moving to Europe for Armenian Club, Ulisses in 2014.

“I would like to thank everyone for the great support you have always given to me and l pray and believe that this is only the start of greater things coming ahead,” he wrote.

 Musonda scored 14 goals in 94 appearances for Kapan who he joined in 2015 until his time of moving to Poland.

The Chipolopolo player first broke into the national team under former coaches Herve Renard and Patrice Beaumelle in 2014 but it is under current coach Sven Vandebroek that he has become a permanent feature having played in most of Zambia’s 2019 AFCON qualifiers.
