‘Corrupt gov’t leaders probed’ – Thabo Kawana says serving government leaders to start appearing in court for corruption, no sacred cows in the fight against graft

The fight against corruption is not selective and Zambians should expect a number of prosecutions this month including those that are currently serving in Government, Thabo Kawana has announced.

Mr Kawana, the Ministry of Information Director a number of people including those serving in the UPND government would soon be arraigned before the courts of law to answer corruption charges.

Speaking when he appeared on Hot FM Mr Kawana said a number of people would start appearing in court soon including those that were serving in the current government as long as they had become suspects engaging in corrupt activities.

He said there was no sacred cow in the fight against corruption and that there were some government officials who would soon start appearing in courts for corruption crimes.

“Most cases are being concluded now and the ACC director indicated that in February a number of people will start going to court to answer on corrupt charges,” Mr Kawana said.

Mr Kawana said the ACC director general said that there were no sacred cows in the corruption fight and that a number of people would be prosecuted.
