BOY DISCOVERED IN 35 – 40 METERS DEEP DRY WELL
A 12-year-old boy that was reported missing earlier on Sunday was discovered in a deep dry well on Monday evening.
The father of the child, Evaristo Sikaona, informed chete fm on Monday morning that Joshua went missing shortly after coming back from Church.
After hours of searching, news broke out that he was with friends the last time he was seen at Maloni market near Chiyanga primary school.
Josephine Kangwa, the woman who met the boys quizzed them about Joshua’s whereabouts but were hesitant to tell her before leading her to the well.
It’s been learnt that Joshua was kicked into the well by an unknown man that beat the boys for allegedly playing near the well.
Joshua’s friends claimed they remained mute over his disappearance because they feared that he was dead and could have been cited.
They also reportedly threw some stones into the well in attempt to check if he was still alive when he was unconscious.
The boy has complained of abdominal pain as he also sustained bruises. The well is estimated to be 35-40 meters deep.
