The Ruling Patriotic Front Truck Drivers National Mobilisation committee has called on all Transporters in the country to ensure that they allow their Drivers to vote in the next month General elections.
Committee Chairman Isaac Kang’ombe said no Truck Driver should be disenfranchised on account of their duty or work schedule.
Mr Kang’ombe said the Truck Drivers play a critical role in the running of the economy adding that allowing them to vote next month would be the right thing to do.
He says next month’s General election is NOT about changing the Government but giving President Dr Edgar Chagwa Lungu and the Mighty PF another mandate to continue bringing development to the people of Zambia and Transport sector.
“I am asking all the Truck Drivers through out the country to vote for PF candidate President Edgar Lungu and the PF so that it’s government can continue with it’s development programme in the Transportation Industry,” he says.
The PF Truck Drivers National Mobilisation committee Chairman has since urged Zambians not to allow tribal politics to take root in Zambia.
Mr Kan’gombe has warned that Zambia risks losing the peace it has enjoyed for the last 57 years if it encourages tribal politics.
