Mayor of Lusaka extends Tandizo support

DESPITE the ban from office, the Mayor of Lusaka has continued to serve the people of Lusaka by putting into action his Tandizo campaign that seeks to empower residents either by providing aid or giving publicity to services that aspiring entrepreneurs offer.

Miles Sampa on a daily basis has received visitors to his home and has used the Facebook platform to gain support for the Tandizo cause, while keeping ardent viewers up to date via Boba TV.

THE MAYOR WROTE

Early this week we promised a 22 years old youth Hilary Chinyama who walks from one house to another offering to wash clothes for people at a fee.

I tried him out to wash our clothes and was impressed with his work and good attitude by the end of the day. I have given him a contract to be washing weekly.

In the meantime the Trustees of Hope & Chikondi Foundation saw the post on our Facebook page and were touched by Hilary’s humility and positive attitude to make ends meet.

This morning therefore Hope & Chikondi Foundation local CEO Mr Muchenga came to Boba and donated K5000 cash to Hilary to boost his business. I have guided Hilary to consider buying a bicycle, steam Iron and a white worksuit and shoes.

Thank you Chikondi & Hope Foundation Trustees for your continued noble humanitarian support to the residents of the City and beyond. Twatotela🙏

THE PEOPLE SAID

What if those well to do spared a coin for innovative youths like such, what if the political debates were more centered on REAL uplifting lives of ordinary citizens, what if our leaders were more welcoming with no hidden agenda to exploit unsuspecting citizens, what if the Miles B Sampa model was piloted and adopted by the SOME-Of-US with all due respect. What if this is a real movement to actually improve life’s silently but very effective,. I believe checks and balances are important but what is the point to criticize but offer no tangible solutions. How many lives have we touched even as we advocating for perceived changes? What we are witnessing on this fora is pure great deal of selflessness and people helping people – even those we don’t know. Service to others before self. This innovation ba Mayor really deserves a Noble prize. Zambia can only genuinely be developed by Zambians. I am who I am because someone believed in me a fellow Zambian not even a relative. So this what you a re doing Sir may God remember your deeds…. @BobaTv eyabako and Facebook proves again a platform for doing good… – MATTY KING MATHEWS

If this is not living your life with purpose…then what is it? Our Mayor touching lives with his big heart and the created platform! Big Ups to you and your partners. – ELLEN CHIKALE

I pray that young man owns a laundromat and a delivery vehicle one day, that’s what he needs to be very efficient. Such youths deserve support, he is not lazy and he did not wait to find capital. Look at what your hands can get you into! God bless you. – KALUNGA KALEMBWE

MBS you’re a very practical man indeed & it shows may God continue blessing you with wisdom & a kind heart as you serve the people of the city of Lusaka – RICHARD ZULU.
