By PETER MALASHA

In a quest to intensify COVID-19 prevention measures, Mkushi North Member of Parliament (MP) Doreen Mwape has continued with sensitisation campaign and distribution of hand washing facilities.

Mr Mwape said the hand washing facilities were meant for the vulnerable communities and public places in the constituency.

She said in an interview that the campaign was non-stop so as to ensure strict adherence to the COVID-19 prevention measures in the district.

The MP said during the sensitisation campaign over 2,000 face masks and assorted hand washing facilities would be distributed to communities.

She said earlier the same number of face masks and over 200 hand washing basins and sanitisers were distributed in different places of the constituency.

Ms. Mwape said her target was to distribute 10,000 face masks and 500 hand washing facilities to people in all the 14 wards of the district.

“I have targeted to distribute 10,000 face masks and 500 hand washing facilities to the vulnerable and markets including other public places. The campaign is non-stop will be doing it in phases,” said Ms Mwape.

She said her team would also be distributing placards and pamphlets containing COVID-19 prevention information in local languages.
