Chinsali father defiles daughter (12)

Police in Chinsali have arrested a 37 year old man for allegedly defiling his 12 year old daughter.

Muchinga Province Police Commissioner Joel Njase has confirmed the incident and named the suspect as Constatino Lukonde 37 of Old Lubu Scheme in Chief Nkula’s area of Chinsali district.

 ‘‘Police received a report in which Annie Mfula of Old Lubu Ccheme in Chief Nkula’s area reported on behalf of her  daughter that she was defiled by  her father Constantino Lukonde of same abode.’’ Mr Njase said.

Mr Njase said the happened when Mfula left him with the victim as she went to visit her family and stayed away for one week and a day.

He said the victim informed her mother on her return that her father had defiled her.

Mr Njase said the suspect was in custody and would appear in court soon.

Meanwhile, the body of a 31 year old woman who was killed by a crocodile in Zoole village in Chief Kambombo’s area of Chama district has been found.

Mr Njase said the body Ketty Mukulama was found without her right leg and the intestines while that of the baby has not been found yet.

Mr Njase said the body has since been buried while the search of child body has continued.

The two killed by a crocodile on Monday around 17:00 hours on Luangwa River in Chama district as she went to draw water.
