Preparations for Battle of the Bands begin

Preparations for the Radisson Blu Hotel sponsored musical show , ‘Battle of the Bands’ have commenced with calls for any band wishing to take part in this year’s competition to register.


The Battle of the Bands this year enters its third edition and is like always focused on promoting and supporting authentic Zambian music. It brings together local bands that compete and later are shortlisted for a show on the grand finale. It is at the grand finale that the winning band is chosen.


This year, the event takes place at Radisson Blu in Lusaka on Saturday, 31st August.
Bands from outside Lusaka are free to participate in the competition and whichever band is interested in the show must register on www.battleofthebandsZambia.com. The closing date for this call is 31st May.


Last year’s Winner was a military band; The “Sappers” from Mufulira. Second position was taken by “Uhuru Vibes”.
