I would like to know whether our government is aware that mealie meal is the nation’s staple food.

I am asking because it appears people in our country can do as they please probably they know that nothing can happen to them.

These business cartels should be controlled, not only in the maize sector but in many areas of the economy.

I am not calling for price controls but when it becomes clear that some people are deliberately manipulating systems to fill up their pockets, there will always be need to check them because it is the voters or citizens who suffer the consequences.

Can government presence be felt in many such areas for the good of the nation?
