Historically, Zambia has a rich cultural and tribal connection. A connection that values traditional cousinship and tribal ties popularly known as ‘ Chimbuya’. It is this relationship that has kept the Zambian  people of Eastern  and Northern provinces connected.

And against this background female musicians Esther Namunga and Angela Nyirenda have collaborated on a song titled Mambwe Vs. Ngoni to specifically share the cultures of the two tribes and the traditional cousinship.

The song was produced by Moses Sakala to help promote oneness and cutural values among the Ngoni and Mambwe-Lungu-speaking people.

This song is clearly showcased in a video to be officially launched on February 8th 2019 at Ndozo Lodge in Lusaka’s Mimosa area.

The launch will be exclusive to the media and other partners in the promotion of tourism, culture and arts.

The Mambwe Vs. Ngoni is a song  off Esther’s yet to be launched album ‘’Destination Mbala’’.

“Destination Mbala’’ has a number of songs centred on the Mambwe culture and it is Esther’s unique way of promoting Mbala’s tourism and cultural heritage.
