Call, bus station manager deny stealing spare parts

A Lusaka Call boy and bus station manager have denied stealing two sacks of motor vehicle spare parts worth K36,000 in the magistrates court.

Appearing at the Lusaka magistrates court before magistrate Chinunda Chiwaula was Anthony Chizika 31 and Jonathan Chipilimwangala 36 accused  of obtaining two sacks of motor vehicle spare parts property of Edward Banda on pretext that they would transport them to Isoka when in fact not.

Particulars of the offence were that on November 13, Banda took two sacks of car spare parts at the bus station to be transported to Isoka but the sacks were not delivered.

Chizika denied the charged.

Chipilimwangala said he agreed to transport only one sack which he had received.

He said Mr. Banda came with one sack at the station and asked him to put it on a bus for him.

He said he out one sack on the bus and later he removed another sack which had no receipt.

He said the sack he removed was the one the police took from him.

He said he did not steal the car parts as alleged.

The court entered a plea of not guilty for both accused persons.
