TO be on the mind means someone is thinking of you at all times regardless of place, situation, time and activity. The word ‘Mind’ in Greek mean gumption. This means to be initiative and resourceful. In lay man language; imaginativeness, cleverness, discernment or to think of.
In the book of Jeremiah 29v11 the Bible tells us that, the plans of God are not to harm but to see you prosper, to give you hope and future. God knows that the circumstances of life can derail you from the right path. He knows that you can lose your focus with the things of this world. He tells us that I’ll give you hope and a future.
To be on the mind of God is being in the agenda of God. There is nothing that can happen without the knowledge of God. The
situations we pass through are not to harm us but to teach, re-correct and bring us back to Him.
In Psalm 8 v 5 we see the poet write; Who is man that you are so mindful of oh God? You have made him little lower than angels
and crowned him with glory and honour. We see that you are more special to God than anything else. God is concerned about
you. You are the beloved of God. In his sight you are special. You are much worth than anything you can think of. This means that
you came from creation of the image of God. You have been endued with noble faculties and capacities. You are distinguished
from the inferior creatures and made you to dominate over the creatures of the Earth. Glory be to God, such a great honor to you.
Zephaniah 3v1, God shall take delight in you, quiet you with his loud singing and take delight in you. This tells us that his concern
is everlasting and of agape love. When man lost his position in God’s sight God’s love and mercy is never failing, he sent his son
Jesus to come and die for you. Who would give up what is so dear so easily? God gave up his son Jesus knowing well that he was
to die a painful death. He inflicted pain in himself and paid the price for the re-emission of our sins. In this we see the character of
God towards us that he means good.
Deuteronomy 36v6, tell us to be strong and courageous. Not to be terrified of anything for he is with us at all times, He never
leave nor forsake us. God is closer to us than anyone else we can call family. He is closer to us than a brother. He hears our
prayers and supplication we make unto him. He knows every pain you go through and even that of your tears you cry. He is right
next to you. You might be saying, ‘I have been praying but God doesn’t hear me.’ Well brethren, your attitude to prayer has been
focusing on self-centeredness to benefit you and not others. When you seek him diligently you will find him. Be persistent, give
yourself completely to him.
You are on the mind of God at all times. To fully be in his presence give yourself completely to him by getting to a place of the
moment with God.
I leave you here with a prayer point: Lord take more of me and give me more of you, more of your will and your character. Amen
