Call boys fight

Over bus station

Police in Lusaka yesterday fought running battles with some call boys who were fighting over control of a bus station.

Police acting spokesperson Godfrey Chilabi said police  dispersed and arrested some of the youths in Mtendere Compound who were fighting over the illegal control of Mtendere  bus station.

Mr Chilabi said that in the process of fighting, eight of them have been injured and were  rushed to Mtendere Clinic for medical attention while police apprehended 10  who are detained in custody.

He said that the youths  have been charged with Conduct Likely to Cause Breach of Peace.

He however said that the situation  at the bus station is back to normal and that police are still monitoring.
