INVESTIGATIONS are still ongoing in a matter in which Chiefs and Traditional Affairs Minister Lawrence Sichalwe posted a pornographic video in a WhatsApp group, police have said.
Mr Sichalwe who is Chawama Member of Parliament made headlines last week when he reportedly posted pornographic material and received widespread condemnation from social media users.
The minister however defended himself by saying he accidentally shared the video when he meant to delete it.
But police spokesperson Esther Katongo refuted that and said the minister would still be investigated over the matter.
And when asked as to how far the matter had gone, Deputy Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga told the Sun in Lusaka that investigations were still ongoing.
“We will communicate at an appropriate time as investigations on the matter are still ongoing,” Mr Hamoonga said.
