BREAKING NEWS: FAZ COMMUNICATION MANAGER QUITS?

Football Association of Zambia ( FAZ) communication manager Desmond has reportedly resigned from his position.
Sources close to him disclosed that Katongo left his position after he was moved from the communications department to the Club licencing department a position left by Erick Mwanza, the former FAZ communications manager in the Kalusha Bwalya administration.
“Desmond was transferred from his speciality by training PR to Club Licensing, he got frustrated and resigned,” the source.
FAZ is yet to confirm the development as by press time FAZ general secretary Adrian Kashala and Vice president Rix Mweemba were attending provincial conferences for Northern province in Kasama while deputy general secretary Joseph Chimpampwe could not reply to the press query as he only responded that he was in church.
“I’m in church , I will get back to you,” said Chimpampwe.
And when contacted , Katongo could not respond as his phone went an answered and further exited some of the soccer WhatsApp groups he belongs to.
Katongo has been FAZ communication manager since February 2017 when he took over from Nkweto Tembwe who also resigned after former president Kalusha Bwalya’s election loss in 2016.
